Thu 20 December || Hannah Campbell and Teresa Duffy-Richards

Hannah Campbell * Hannah is a warm, discerning, and joyfully vulnerable story teller hailing from Melbourne, Victoria. Her style of indie-folk echoes of folky acoustic roots whereby she writes to unpack stories of herself and her loved ones, of failings and hopefulness, of desire and emotional vacancy, and some unspoken truths in-between.

In 2017 Hannah released her debut EP ‘For Your Love’ - a landmark EP for her development as an artist and a human. Track one of the EP, ‘Sunshine’ was synced to NAB’s Social Media campaign ‘Little Steps’, for environmental sustainability.

Her latest single Run Like Wolves commands; human connection, support and empowerment in which femininity orbits strength in vulnerability, weighing joy with grief in equal measures, and empowerment, rather than judgement.

Teresa-Duffy Richards * Lyrical, timeless and swelling with rich, full clout that will hit you with the gentlest of nudges, Teresa Duffy-Richards crafts hauntingly bare songs filled with poetic imagery and a deeply ingrained sense of the pains of everyday life. It might sound sweet, but there is an ever present grit and fragility to her voice and songs that prods at the most tender of wounds.

Her songs are steeped in the vast traditions of Folk and Country music, and as multi instrumentalists she and partner Joshua Jones create a rousing live show with acoustic guitars, banjo and dobro, even bringing out booze soaked electric guitar reminiscent of Neil Young and the catalytic classic rock that informed much of her teenage years. But ultimately it is the timeless song writing of old world and 20th century troubadours and Tennessee reared yodellers, that inspires much of her work. Recording of her debut album is underway at Rolling Stock and is scheduled for release at the end of 2018
