Amber Mic Presents Danny Ross w/Joyce Prescher, Neeko & Renn Picard @ The Toff

The Toff in Town, Level 2, Curtin House, 252 Swanston Street, Melbourne

Amber Mic will be presenting a delightful night of original indie folk tunes at The Toff in Town on Thurs Apr 29th featuring Melbourne indie folk acts Renn Picard, Neeko and Joyce Prescher, and Danny Ross. Blending warm harmony with his lyrics, Albury born Renn Picard explores the shared complexities of existence, taking cues from artists including Joni Mitchell and The Middle East – with his genre remaining ambiguous, playing with folk and alternative terms in his music.

Following is Neeko, with her musical journey beginning at the top of a misty mountain, inspiring her to follow her passions. Her infectious song writing is an unusual blend of organic tones and metropolitan grooves – allowing her performance style to be described as food for the soul.

With every song Joyce Prescher performs, the audience gains another level of understanding of her soul, with her poetic lyrics, haunting melodies and voice that demands attention has audiences mesmerized. Her debut album ‘Home’, communicates the hardship of living away from home, her identity and love and death – her sound telling of her love of folk music with hints of alternative country.

Danny Ross is a singer-songwriter based in Melbourne. His long-play release features musical collaborations with members of Husky, The Bamboos and The Cat Empire, with the productions taking six and a half years from start to finish, whilst also being a featuring artist with long time friend and producer The Immigrant.
